Rev. Joseph Machokoto (RCZ) and Rev. Gibson Botomani (CCAP Harare) at Weidenhof House, Stellenbosch

It is always a heart-warming experience to meet brothers and sisters from our sister churches when they come all the way from their different countries in Africa to do their post-graduate studies at Stellenbosch University. What a priviledge to have them with us!

At the moment there are two of them from Zimbabwe – Rev. Joseph Machokoto from the RCZ (Reformed Church in Zimbabwe) and Rev. Gibson Botomani from the CCAP (Church in Central Africa Presbyterian Harare Synod, with their origin in Malawi).

Rev. Botomani is from the CCAP Norton Congregation and also the National Youth Director of the CCAP in Harare. He is busy with his PGD (Post-graduate Diploma), specialising in Youth Ministry. He is married to Rejoice, a teacher, and they have three sons: Lesley, Limbani and Alinafe.

Rev. Machokoto is from the RCZ Masvingo and also the supervisor of the RCZ’s farms. He is currently busy with his MTh in Practical Theology, specialising in Community Development. He is married to Tsitsi and they have two girls and one boy: Tatenda and Wassington are twins and Caroline is the youngest.

May God bless your studies and may it give you great insight and wisdom in your various ministries.
